Plan Your Gift

Supporting Johnson & Wales through a bequest or planned gift is a tax-friendly way to maximize your philanthropy and leave a legacy.

1914 Society

Founded 1914Johnson & Wales University has established the 1914 Society to honor individuals who have included the university in their estate plans through a will, trust, life insurance policy, retirement plan, etc.

Many alumni and friends are already members of the 1914 Society by virtue of their planned-gift commitment. We also want to recognize individuals who have made current accommodations in their estate plans to support Johnson & Wales University. Unless donors wish to remain anonymous, the names of 1914 Society members will be published online and in other publications.

If you have included JWU in your will, established a life-income plan or made Johnson & Wales the beneficiary of an insurance policy or retirement plan, you are automatically a member of the 1914 Society. Please let us know by contacting Steve Shipley '85, '06 M.A.T, Senior Major Gifts Officer. Additionally, if you are interested in establishing a planned gift with JWU or would like information about how to include JWU in your estate plans, we'd love to hear from you.
