90% of our students demonstrate financial need. Your support can play a crucial role in helping ease their financial burden by providing direct assistance. Every contribution, regardless of amount, will bring a JWU degree within reach for students facing unexpected challenges, like Julie Southern ’09.

Southern, who holds an associate degree in culinary arts, summa cum laude and is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree at JWU, could not afford to complete her senior year. Receiving an alumni scholarship award changed her life: “Without this scholarship I would not be here today. [It] allowed me to return to the school that I love to complete my bachelor’s degree in culinary arts.”

Gifts of all sizes have widespread benefits, as smaller gifts can aggregate as powerfully as large ones. For example, when 2,000 donors send gifts in the $25-50 range, this means JWU can offer five or six more undergraduate scholarship awards of $12,000-$15,000 apiece. For the students who receive these awards, such gifts prove to be priceless.
