Fran Audette

For more than 20 years, Fran Audette has served JWU in a variety of roles, including director of special events, coordinator for the Vision 2001 capital campaign, and director of special projects with the Chancellor’s and President’s offices. In her current role as director of advancement operations, Audette is responsible for the fiscal management of the advancement office, including budgeting, position control, and policies and procedures.

Audette attended Salve Regina University, majoring in history, and has served on the boards of several civic and community organizations. She was instrumental in establishing the inaugural First Night arts festival in Providence, which continued for nearly twenty years.

Meredith F. Brassil

As manager of alumni relations, Meredith Brassil is responsible for developing, coordinating, and leading the alumni relations program at the Providence Campus. She builds alumni relationships and helps alumni get involved and build connections with the university.

Brassil joined JWU in 2001, after serving as Assistant Director of Career Development at Salve Regina University. Her 25-year career in higher education has taken her from teaching in a bilingual program at Bristol Community College in Fall River, MA, to adjunct faculty in special business programs at the Community College of Rhode Island and the University of Rhode Island. She has served as a board member of the Rhode Island Business Leadership Network and in fundraising campaigns for the Catholic Diocese of Providence, The Gordon School, St. Andrew’s School, St. Philomena School, and Bishop Connolly High School.

Active in a number of civic and spiritual groups, Brassil holds a B.S. in business administration from Bryant University and an M.A. in human resource management from Salve Regina University.

Moira Husband
Scholarship Donor Relations Coordinator, Providence Campus

Moira Husband has been with JWU for more than 10 years. As the scholarship donor relations coordinator in Providence, her responsibilities include stewardship of the scholarship program and making the connections between donors and scholarship recipients.

A native of Providence, Husband gradated from the JWU Providence Campus in 1995 with an associate’s degree in Administrative Management and received her B.A. degree in Paralegal Studies from JWU in 2008. She has also worked for Robert Half International and Stop & Shop Supermarkets. Currently, Husband is enrolled in the Alan Shawn Feinstein Graduate School.

Michelle Nicholas

Michelle Nicholas joined JWU as the advancement relations assistant in 2006. In this role, she provides support for the advancement team and helps cultivate and maintain alumni relations. Her previous experience includes working as administrative assistant and benefits coordinator for Administration Services, Inc. in Rhode Island. Nicholas is currently enrolled at JWU in the management program, concentrating in Human Resources.
