Giving to JWU

Today, more than ever, it is crucial for students to prepare for a profession — and Johnson & Wales University has proven itself a national leader in career education. For 95 years, our pioneering model of rigorous academics combined with hands-on experience, leadership training, and career development has set us apart.

As a nonprofit, private institution, JWU must depend on alumni, friends, corporations, and foundations to keep this unique education accessible and affordable. The university provided more than $96 million in institutional aid in 2008-09 (a 17 percent increase over the previous year), but we need to do more for our students — and we need your help.

We’ve come a long way already. Our state-of-the-art Charlotte Campus — a lively hub of activity that has helped revitalize the city’s downtown — now serves more than 2,400 students from 44 states and 18 countries. Students can choose among 15 distinct degree programs and an expanding range of clubs and organizations. In keeping with our strategic plan, FOCUS 2011, we are now raising the bar across the board, developing even better academic programs, facilities, and financial aid packages to enhance the learning experience and attract an even higher quality of students and faculty. As we continue to evolve, we will maintain our commitment to serving the North Carolina community we call home.

With your support, all qualified students accepted at the Charlotte Campus will be able to pursue their career dreams and realize their ambitions through our singular educational model. Only collectively will we achieve the goals of FOCUS 2011 and make the dream of higher education a reality for every applicant.
